Rain Garden installed behind Blue Barn Rec Center with Pinelands Preservation Alliance Grant

Evesham’s newest rain garden is COMPLETE behind the Blue Barn Rec Center on Tuckerton Road!

This project was made possible all thanks to grant funding from the Pinelands Preservation Alliance and designs/volunteers from the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Water Resources Program

A big thanks is also in order for the Evesham Environmental Commission and the volunteers who also helped push this project along and volunteered their time during installation.

For those who may not know, rain gardens are depressed areas in the landscape that collect rain water from a roof, driveway or street and allows it to soak into the ground. Planted with grasses and flowering perennials, rain gardens can be a cost effective and beautiful way to reduce runoff.
