Board of Fire Commissioners Information

Similar to the local and regional school districts, the Board of Fire Commissioners for Evesham Fire District No. 1 is a completely separate authority from Evesham Township.

The board has its own powers and taxing ability outside of municipal control. Members of The Board of Fire Commissioners are elected directly by Evesham residents.

The Board of Fire Commissioners is the sole authority responsible for establishing operational policies, hiring and appointing members, and funding for the operations of Fire District No. 1, which includes the Evesham Fire-Rescue agency.
