Tie-in work for Evesham MUA Kings Grant Water Main Replacement Project begins Monday, Aug. 31; residents can expect brief water shutdown and potential water discoloration

The Evesham Municipal Utilities Authority is moving into the next phase of the Kings Grant Water Main Replacement Project. Contractors are mobilizing this week and will begin connecting side streets to the newly installed water main on Kings Grant Drive on Monday, August 31.

What Residents Can Expect

• Crews anticipate completing approximately two street connections (tie-ins) per day.
• Each tie-in will require a temporary water service interruption for the street being connected.
• Residents will be notified of the impacted work area at least 48 hours in advance.
• Residents on affected streets should expect a brief water shutdown on the day their street is connected.
• Residents in the area may experience discolored water and/or air in their systems and are asked to run the cold-water side until clear.
• Water service will be restored on the same day once work is completed.
• After all street connections are finished, crews will:
  • Grout and abandon the old water main.
  • Remove retired fire hydrants.
  • Complete final project closeout activities.
