Burlington County distributing $40 Farmers Market Vouchers to low-income seniors
Great news for Burlington County seniors!
Applications are once again being accepted for this year’s Farmers Market Nutrition Program, which provides free $40 QR code vouchers for fresh produce and herbs to eligible senior citizens.
To qualify for the program, applicants must be 60 or older, reside in Burlington County, and have an annual income of less than $29,526 for a single individual or $40,034 for a married couple. Vouchers are delivered immediately as a digital QR code that can be scanned directly from a smartphone or printed out for vendors to scan.
Right here in Evesham Township, seniors can redeem these vouchers at Cheyenne’s Road Market, both at their local farmstand and at the weekly Marlton Farmers Market starting in September. Vouchers are also accepted at more than a dozen other participating locations across the county.
