Evesham Township is excited to partner with Cross County Connection TMA and the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission for a Complete Streets Temporary Demonstration Project starting in late April and running through the end of May.

With support from grant funding, this project uses temporary materials like paint, posts, and planters to test out road safety improvements that make our streets more safe, walkable and bike-friendly. Again, these installations are temporary, but can help residents and the township imagine how potential permanent improvements might operate.

Here’s what you’ll see:

• Wescott Road – Bicycle Boulevard: We’re prioritizing cyclists with painted "sharrows" and signage to create a comfortable route on this low-speed road.

• Wescott Road – Curb Extensions (Bump-Outs): These will improve visibility and shorten crossing distances while naturally slowing down vehicle speeds.

• Wescott Road (at Athletic Fields BACK Entrance) – Pedestrian Refuge Island: A safe landing space in the middle of the street to make crossing to the fields much easier for families.

• Intersection of Brick Rd & Evans Rd – Curb Radius Reduction: We’re "tightening" this intersection to prevent wide, fast turns.

Why temporary?

Again, testing these features in a low-cost way allows the Township and the public to work together to see what actually works. These results will also help us apply for grant funding for permanent improvements in the future!

We want your feedback!

Representatives will be collecting feedback via online surveys throughout the project. Whether you walk, bike, or drive through these areas, we want to know what you think.

A link to the community survey will also be on that page once the project is live!

Let’s work together to make Evesham’s streets safer for everyone!
