"Evesham Township has long stood as one of the greatest communities in New Jersey and across the nation. Our strength has always been defined through the members of our community and their compassion, resilience and commitment to making this a place we are all proud to call home. As your Mayor, I am constantly reminded that Evesham serves as a model for what a community can achieve when it leads with heart and purpose.

However, we are currently living through a period of national uncertainty. When we witness events across the country that challenge our expectations and contradict our core values, it is natural to feel a sense of unease.

My commitment to you is to maintain the vital balance between protecting individual rights and ensuring public safety. The very promise of America is that peace and freedom are not at odds with security; rather, they are the foundation of it. The goal of any leader should be to provide a community where every resident feels protected, heard, and free to live without fear.

What we are seeing on the national stage regarding immigration enforcement and the use of unchecked force strikes me to my core. When enforcement tactics bypass transparency or infringe upon civil liberties, the essential bond of trust between the public and the government begins to erode.

This is not just a policy issue – it is a matter of human dignity. A nation can uphold its laws and maintain safe borders without sacrificing the basic decency, constitutional rights, and humanity that define the American spirit.
