In advance of Winter Storm, Township-wide State of Emergency declared, effective Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 8 a.m.

In advance of the upcoming winter storm, a Township-wide State of Emergency has been declared, effective Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 8 a.m., under the directive of Evesham Township Emergency Management Coordinator Carl Bittenbender.

This status streamlines the deployment of resources, enables implementation of emergency management plans and sets forth urgent safety measures as such:

1. Parking and Right-of-Way Restrictions
• All residents and persons within Evesham Township are strongly encouraged to park vehicles off-street or in designated municipal parking areas where available.
• On-street parking may be restricted or prohibited as necessary to facilitate snow removal, emergency access, and public safety operations.
• Vehicles obstructing snow removal or emergency response operations may be subject to ticketing and/or towing as permitted by law.

2. Trash, Recycling, and Obstructions
• Residents shall not place trash cans, recycling containers, bulk items, or debris at the curb during the declared State of Emergency unless otherwise directed by the Township.
• All portable basketball nets, hockey goals, lawn furniture, and similar movable objects shall be removed from the public right-of-way and secured.
• Any object that creates a hazard to snow removal or emergency operations may be removed by Township forces.

3. Snow and Ice Placement Prohibited; Enforcement
• It is unlawful for any person, including property owners and private snow removal contractors, to plow, shovel, blow, or otherwise place snow or ice from private property onto any public roadway, sidewalk, or right-of-way within Evesham Township pursuant to Evesham Township Code § 133-2.
• This provision shall be enforced by the Evesham Township Police Department, and violations may result in the issuance of summonses, fines, or other enforcement actions as authorized by Township ordinance and applicable law

4. Emergency Operations and Resource Deployment
• All departments of Evesham Township are authorized to deploy personnel, apparatus, equipment, and other resources as necessary to support emergency response, snow removal, and public safety operations.
• Normal departmental rules, procedures, and work schedules may be modified or suspended as necessary to meet operational demands during the emergency period.

5. Inter-Agency, Authority, and District Support
• All authorities, agencies, special districts, and affiliated entities operating within Evesham Township, including but not limited to utilities, sewer or water authorities, fire districts, EMS providers, and public works entities, are authorized and directed to re-deploy available personnel and assets to assist Township emergency operations as needed.
• Mutual aid and shared services agreements may be activated to ensure continuity of essential services.

6. Duration and Termination
• This Township-wide State of Emergency shall remain in effect until terminated by official action of the Emergency Management Coordinator when conditions no longer warrant emergency measures.

7. Public Cooperation
• All residents and persons within Evesham Township are urged to limit non-essential travel, monitor official Township communications, and comply with all lawful directives issued pursuant to this declaration in order to protect public safety and facilitate emergency operations.
