Ramadan Crescent Moon Lighting Ceremony to be held on Feb. 13 in partnership with Marlton Muslim Families non-profit

The local Marlton Muslim Families non-profit is once again working together with Evesham Township to host a Ramadan Crescent Moon Lighting Ceremony this year on Friday, Feb. 13 at 6 p.m.

This year's event will be held inside the Evesham Township Municipal Complex at 984 Tuckerton Road and will help our township mark the start of Ramadan on Feb. 17.

In addition to the lighting of a Crescent Moon display, the event will feature educational information about Ramadan and remarks from local officials. Light refreshments will also be available.

After the ceremony at The Municipal Complex, the display will then be moved to the corner of Main Street and Maple Avenue to be featured throughout the month of Ramadan.

As in previous years, residents of all faiths and backgrounds are invited to join for this event to educate one another about cultural differences, while also sharing in our many similarities.
