Mayor Veasy elected to key leadership role as 3rd Vice President of NJ State League of Municipalities

Mayor Jaclyn Veasy of Evesham is the new 3rd Vice President of the New Jersey State League of Municipalities. Mayor Veasy was elected at the League of Municipalities’ Annual Business Meeting in Atlantic City.

As 3rd Vice President of the New Jersey State League of Municipalities, Mayor Veasy will help lead the Association of New Jersey’s 564 municipal governments. She will represent the interests and needs of New Jersey’s local elected officials to county, state, and federal governments.

She is currently serving in her second term as Mayor of Evesham, where she is only the second woman to ever be elected as Mayor (2018) and the first woman to ever be re-elected as Mayor (2022).

Mayor Veasy currently serving on the following boards: 1st Vice President of the NJ Conference of Mayors; Vice Chair of the Burlington County Bridge Commission; Member of the Burlington County Board of Social Services, and Member of the Burlington County Women’s Advisory Board.

Jackie has been a long-time volunteer in Evesham Township and has served as a committee member for the Relay for Life of Marlton to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. She also remains an active member of the St. Joan of Arc Parish family, serving as a Lector at Sunday Mass. With her mother, Joan, Jackie coordinates St. Joan of Arc’s Sunday-morning children’s liturgy program. Jackie also organizes and volunteers at St. Joan of Arc’s annual summer carnival.

She attended Rutgers University graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies. She currently works in a sales position in the insurance industry.
