Learn about the NJ Community Solar Program and how residents can save money on their electric bills

Solar Letter Evesham

Attention Evesham residents! Be on the lookout for an official letter in your mailbox detailing the benefits of the Community Solar and how YOU can SAVE MONEY on your electric bill each and every month just by signing up.

But what is Community Solar?

Community Solar allows residents to receive the cost savings associated with solar energy without installing panels on their property, regardless of whether you rent or own your home

The process begins by residents applying to join a Community Solar Project, which is a larger solar installation in our area or region that generates clean energy. These projects, once energized, are specifically designed to allow members of the public to use the electricity generated by the installation.

After a resident’s assigned project is energized, a discount of at least 15% will be applied to the solar credits they receive on their PSE&G or ACE bill for their share of the solar project, reducing their electricity costs.

The exact timing of when savings begin is dependent upon when a project is energized, when a household enrolls, and current availability, since projects are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

But rest assured, your space on a project is reserved once you enroll, and your discount rate is guaranteed for 20 years. And with community solar, there are no fees to enroll, you remain a PSE&G or ACE customer, and you may cancel at any time without charge.

Want to learn more? The letter you may have received was sent through a partnership with our friends at Solar Landscape, who are also working with us to hold several informational events.

Representatives will be at Marlton Farmer’s Market (131 Evesboro-Medford Road) on Aug. 6 from 4 to 7 p.m., and they’ll also hold a Community Solar Info Session with our Dept. of Senior Services on Aug, 28 at 11 a.m. at Gibson House (535 E. Main St.) To attend the event at the Gibson House, RSVP to Karen at (856) 985-9792 by Aug. 26.

You can also learn more by visiting solarlandscape.com/NJ/Evesham or calling Solar Landscape at 732-589-7529. (If you wish to enroll, please be ready to provide your PSE&G account number (10digits) or ACE service number (22 digits) to complete your enrollment. )

Dear Evesham Residents,

We have heard from many of you regarding the announced rate increase from Atlantic City Electric (ACE) and PSE&G. We want to make everyone aware that the state’s Community Solar Energy Program can help insulate households from this increase. Regardless of whether you rent or own your home, residents can receive the cost savings associated with solar energy without installing panels on their property.
Residents of Evesham are eligible to enroll and subscribe to a share of the discounted solar electricity generated on local commercial projects built by Solar Landscape, a New Jersey-based company that also has projects locally in Marlton.

After a resident’s assigned project is energized, a discount of at least 15% will be applied to the solar credits they receive on their PSE&G or ACE bill for their share of the solar project, reducing their electricity costs.
Solar Landscape estimates that discounts for households that enroll this summer will begin appearing on the electric bills of enrolled households starting this winter and continuing throughout 2026. Exact timing is dependent upon when a household enrolls and current availability, since projects are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Project timelines can sometimes be delayed from original completion estimates.

Rest assured, your space on a project is reserved once you enroll, and your discount rate is guaranteed for 20 years. With community solar, there are no fees to enroll, you remain a PSE&G or ACE customer, and you may cancel at any time without charge. You will be notified via email once your assigned project is energized, and you will begin to see community solar credits on your bills approximately 1-3 billing cycles later.

To learn more or enroll, scan the QR code in the attached letter, visit solarlandscape.com/NJ/Evesham or call Solar Landscape at 732-589-7529. You’ll need to provide your PSE&G account number (10digits) or ACE service number (22 digits) to complete your enrollment. To meet with a Solar Landscape representative in-person, consider attending one of these events:

•Marlton Farmer’s Market – August 6, 4-7 p.m. Visit the Solar Landscape table
•Community Solar Info Session, Hosted by the Dept. of Senior Services – August 28 at 11 a.m., Gibson House, Main Hall. RSVP to Karen at 856-985-9792 by August 26.

Anyone can enroll in community solar, with priority given to residents who qualify as low- to moderate-income. Community solar discounts are available in addition to any state or federal energy assistance residents may receive. We are pleased that the benefits of solar energy are available to Evesham residents, and we look forward to the cost savings this program will provide our residents.
