The New Jersey Pinelands Commission will soon consider several proposed changes to its Comprehensive Management Plan (CMP), which guides land use and development in the Pinelands region.
Among these changes is a potential amendment re-designating the Black Run Watershed in Evesham Township from a Pinelands Rural Development Area to a Pinelands Forest Area.
This change would reduce the intensity of potential future development allowable by The Pinelands Commission in that area.
The proposal in full may be viewed on the Commission’s web page at: https://nj.gov/pinelands/cmp/amend/
The Pinelands Commission has the sole authority on the adoption of these changes to the CMP. Comments regarding changes to the CMP must be submitted directly to the Pinelands Commission in order for them to be considered.
