Community Solar - A Clean Energy Option for Everyone

What is Community Solar?

Not everyone can put solar panels on their home. Perhaps it costs too much for your current finances? Maybe you rent an apartment or home? Does your roof just get too much shade?

That’s where Community Solar comes in!

Instead of installing panels on your property, you can subscribe to what's known as a Community Solar Project.

A Community Solar Project is a larger solar installation in your area or region that generates clean energy and is specifically designed to allow members of the public to subscribe to the project in order to use the electricity generated by the installation.

There are no panels to install. Most subscribers save between 10% and 30% on their electricity! There’s no fee to sign up, and you can cancel at any time without a penalty.

Why should I consider community solar?

1. Reduce your electricity costs

Most community solar subscriptions can save you from 10% to 30% on electric supply charges.

2. Lower Evesham Township's Carbon Footprint

Using natural sunlight means less use of fossil fuel-generated electricity – a major cause of global warming.

3. Everyone can participate

Surveys show says that nearly 50% of homes and businesses can’t have solar panels on their roofs. Community solar helps everyone enjoy the benefits of solar energy because you won’t need to install panels on your home.
