The Shade Tree Advisory Commission is responsible for developing and/or updating annually a Shade Tree Master Plan for the care, preservation, pruning, planting, replanting, removal or disposition of trees and shrubs along the streets, in parks and in other public places.
The Shade Tree Advisory Commission shall also investigate and recommend to the Township Manager, at his request, appropriate action to be taken on individual resident's requests for tree removals or tree trimming or tree planting, as pertaining to trees along streets, parks and other public places.
The Shade Tree Advisory Commission also encourages arboriculture.
